RiderRadar

A cross-platform motorcycle community and safety app covering rider profiles, motorcycles, events and group rides, communities, friends, chat, notifications, and related rider utilities. RiderRadar remains Horizon Tech's main active product focus.

Release Hardening Main Internal Focus Internal Mobile Testing Pre-Launch Readiness

Last updated: August 28, 2026. Core application development is well advanced and current work has shifted heavily toward audit remediation, security and privacy hardening, release-pipeline cleanup, authentication correctness, and production-readiness validation. A validated remediation set was promoted to the development branch on August 27. Production deployment is not yet being represented as complete: migration reconciliation and final release/deployment verification remain in progress.

Current Focus

  • Release hardening and final production-readiness validation.
  • Security and privacy remediation across authentication, admin sessions, private media, rate limits, and browser-facing policies.
  • Internal mobile testing and platform-specific authentication/build validation.
  • Reconciling production migrations and verifying the final deployment path before launch.

Implemented Foundation

  • Cross-platform Expo application for iOS and Android.
  • Rider accounts, profiles, motorcycles, events, group rides, communities, friends, chat, and notifications.
  • Express/TypeScript backend with PostgreSQL, authentication, real-time messaging, push notifications, and an administrative interface.
  • Automated TypeScript, backend, runtime smoke, and CI validation gates.

Before Public Launch

  • Complete production migration reconciliation.
  • Validate the authoritative Railway and Expo/EAS release workflow and deployment approvals.
  • Complete internal mobile validation and address any remaining release blockers.
  • Promote a validated release only after the production safety gates are satisfied.

Roadmap

Current

Release hardening and production readiness

Current development is focused less on adding broad new MVP surface area and more on closing audit findings, hardening security-sensitive flows, validating platform configuration, and making the release process reproducible and safe.

Next

Final internal release validation

Reconcile production migrations, verify the approved deployment path, complete internal mobile testing, and confirm the production release gates before launch.

After Launch

Controlled growth and expanded rider features

After the initial production launch is stable, RiderRadar can expand based on real rider feedback, including broader community, event, ride, and safety capabilities.
